Stone Soup helps families and individuals trying to stretch their budgets, and persons lacking the funds to purchase basic needs.  Free goods provided for persons lacking funds include: clothing, household merchandise, furniture, and many other items we handle.

Donation of Goods:

Please donate items in usable condition - the cost is high to dispose of them, if not usable. When in doubt, it's best to ask! If you have questions about items you wish to donate, call: 651-458-9786 or e-mail: stonesoupthrift@yahoo.com.

Drop-offs are accepted at our dock in the rear of the store until 5pm Monday thru Friday, and until 3pm Saturday.

Donated Furniture Pick-ups is FREE
Furniture pick-up is every other Saturday, by appointment   Pick-up locations include South Washington County, Cottage Grove, Grey Cloud Island, Newport, St. Paul Park, Woodbury, and South Maplewood.  If you have questions about locations, or to schedule your pick-up please call 651-458-9786.

Antiques - (small) Appliances - Bedding & Linens - Blankets - Bedspreads – Bedroom Furniture - Quilts - Books - CD's - Clocks - Craft Items - (Small) Desks - Dressers - Christmas Trees & Stands (only during November & December -  we have no room to store them) - (small) Computer Stands or tables  - Dishes - Electronics (call first) - Game Boxes and Games - Jewelry & Watches - Kitchen Utensils - Knick-knacks & Decorations - Lamps & Shades - Living Room Furniture -  FURNITURE MUST BE IN GOOD CONDITION - NO RIPS, TEARS, OR BE VERY SOILED  Patterns & Material – PC Games - Phones (in working order) - Pots & Pans - Puzzles - Radios - Records - Silverware - Shoes  Soft-side Suitcases -  Flat screen (ONLY) TV’s - Tools and Toolboxes - Towels - Toys (in good condition) - Yarn - Videos.  If you have old leather items or shoes, bring them in.  They will be recycled and used in a process to make absorbents 

We cannot accept:

TV's unless they are flat screen – No TV consoles - Automotive Products - Baby & Child Car Seats - Baby Walkers or Swings – Carpeting - Christmas Trees (& Stands) - Computers - Diaper Pails or Containers - Encyclopedias - Gym/Exercise Equipment - Hide-a-beds - Large Appliances - Magazines - Mattresses & Box Springs - Potty Chairs - Printers - Sofa-beds – Waterbeds.   Please do not drop off these items.  It cost us a large amount of money to have them picked up and hauled away, and reduces our ability to help others.
